Technical assistance for the analysis of the electric bus charging infrastructure in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area

Description

The Barcelona Metropolitan Transport Authority wishes to establish a strategy for the definition, development and operation of the electrical infrastructure for bus networks within the Integrated Fare System (STI).

The main objective of these projects is to design a Strategic Plan to establish the main strategies for promoting electric mobility in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area.

The Strategic Plan will focus on public transport, particularly electric buses, but also on a charging infrastructure accessible to as many electric vehicles as possible (cars, motorcycles, buses, trucks, etc.).

The most important point of this study is to define the criteria that need to be known about a bus route in order to determine whether it can be operated by electric buses.
