Basic study of a multi-device charging station for electric vehicles with photovoltaic energy capture

Home » Basic study of a multi-device charging station for electric vehicles with photovoltaic energy capture

Project code: 1507083

Location

Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain.

Date

October 2015 - December 2015

Description

The infrastructure covered by this study is an electric vehicle charging station equipped with several charging devices to provide a comprehensive service to users.

Given that the energy requirements of the charging devices are expected to be high in order to provide a fast charging service, a photovoltaic solar collection system has been designed to complement this installation and reduce the station’s energy impact.

The equipment necessary for processing the energy generated by the solar photovoltaic installation and for protecting the charging equipment will be installed inside a building located within the area designated for the charging station.
Currently, the site of the charging station is undeveloped and, therefore, it will be necessary to develop it to adapt it to the requirements of the station.

The charging station will be enclosed by a metal fence on the sides where there are no buildings.
