Technical assistance for defining the strategic plan for expanding the charging infrastructure to municipalities in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

Description

One of AMB’s strategic electric mobility measures is the installation of a fast charger in each municipality that makes up the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. The first stage of this strategic measure involved the installation of 10 charging points, as shown in the image below. The second phase was designed in December 2017 and details the location of three new 50 kW fast chargers, 11 semi-fast 22 kW DC chargers and 10 semi-fast 22 kW AC chargers.

Tasks carried out by Evectra:

• Study of the location of charging points.
• Technical assistance during the definition of the charging infrastructure expansion strategy: definition of the number of charging points in each city, location of charging points, type of charger, communication between the charging point and the charging infrastructure control and monitoring software.
• Interviews with mobility experts in each municipality to address their electric mobility needs.
• Definition of the current map of charging point locations in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
• Definition of the charging infrastructure network expansion strategy.
